For the past two years I have written weekly about urban policy initiatives across the country for the publication Next City. But I’ve long loved to write about how cities work. Topics I am passionate about include public transit, bicycling and safe streets infrastructure, housing, zoning and community engagement. I’m an avid subway rider and cyclist (as you’ll see in the photo below), so transit coverage has been important throughout my career.
My reporting on Robert Moses and the Decline of the NYC Subway System earned me a GANYC Apple Award for Excellence in Reporting.
